Low-cost airline Eurowings is preparing to open a new route from Bangkok to Munich, the capital of Bavaria in Germany.

The new long-haul connection between Bangkok and Munich completes Eurowings’ rapidly growing offers from southern Germany.
The low-cost airline will launch two weekly flights on Saturdays and Mondays (from July 16) between Bangkok and Munich. The inaugural flight will leave the Bavarian capital on June 15, whereas the first flight from Bangkok will be on June 16, Stefan Molnar, general manager sales Thailand, Vietnam and the Mekong Region for Lufthansa Group Airlines, said.  “We are very pleased about this new route from Munich to Bangkok by Eurowings,” he said.
“The launch of this connection strengthens Lufthansa Group’s presence in this market and increases Lufthansa Group’s flexibility and choices in terms of overall offers from Thailand to Europe. Other than the three main hub airlines – Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines – we also cater for leisure travellers who are more cost-conscious to fly with Eurowings between Thailand and Europe.
“The flights are as cheap as other Eurowings long-haul connections: tickets will be available from Bt7,369.”
